We have a limited number of one-hour Guest Doodler slots, each with a £50 artist fee, available across Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th September.
We’d love to hear from illustrators, visual artists, designers, makers, and other playful creative practitioners—including students and emerging artists.
The Carlisle Weekend – Do the Doodle session is themed around Carlisle and could invite visitors to explore:
- Creating a collective city scape
- Collaborative illustration
- Carlisle caricatures
- Patterns from the city
- Another accessible idea connected to your practice
Activities should be welcoming, playful and suitable for drop-in participation by people of different ages and levels of experience. You’ll become part of the wider Do the Doodle experience, with the Dance Ahead team hosting the space and community doodling continuing throughout the event.
Fee: £50 for one one-hour Guest Doodler slot
Basic art materials will be available. If your idea requires particular materials or equipment, please include this when expressing your interest.

- Your availability across the weekend
