The Final Toast | Immersive Dance Theatre

The Final Toast invites audiences to the dinner table for a thought-provoking menu of immersive performances with hosts Adam Russell and Zoë Leigh Gadd. Each work is created to be site adaptive, and can be curated for performance in a range of hospitality and entertainment venues such as dining halls, cocktail bars, hotels, coffee shops and more. The works also have the potential to move from theatre bars to the stage, inviting audiences to travel with the action, before taking a seat to observe in more conventional theatre settings.

Taster (duet)

Set upon a gothic dining table, this intimate debut duet explores time, memory and the quiet rituals of a couple’s connection. Inspired by Chilean poet Nicanor Parra’s El Último Brindis, the work invites audiences to take a close, candlelit seat at the table — where past, present and possibility gently intertwine.

A Bite Sized Encounter (duet)

A warm, playful pop-up duet in The Final Toast, designed for cafés and casual spaces. Blending movement and storytelling, this brief encounter invites passers-by to pause, sip, smile and share a moment of connection. Gentle, rustic, and unexpectedly touching — it’s a small slice of theatre to savour, inspired by recipes local to the performance site.

Picnic Playhouse (workshop)

A joyful, interactive workshop inspired by the world of The Final Toast, where imagination leads the way. Through play, movement and storytelling, children explore parties, picnics and the magic of gathering around a shared blanket. A celebration of creativity, friendship and the simple joy of being together.
